we eat differently - and that requires a new way of looking at health.
Experimentation. Research. Gathering knowledge and applying this knowledge 
for effective prevention and good and safe healthcare.

ZonMw makes innovation possible.

The majority of our programmes are commissioned by ministries.
Because they - or we - identify societal problems related to health care.

Ministries, and other organisations, make budget available, which we then
use to launch a programme online and a call for action.

A programme can contain a variety of projects: from the execution of
research up to and including the implementation of the results in practice.

Interested parties can then submit a proposal based on this information.
The proposals which achieve the highest scores in terms of quality,
relevance and content-related innovation will receive a grant.

This will give us new possibilities to improve not only healthcare 
but also our health.
